Dog Days

Sunkissed noses and skinned knees. Sand between our toes and salt in our hair. Waterfront sunsets and fireflies. Parks and pools and picnics. And who could forget ice cream and milkshakes. This has been the Summer of the Milkshake, blender whirring and splashing the kitchen with cream as the kids dance excitedly at my feet.

A summer of grand accomplishments in the life of a child: learning to swim - freestyle, breast stroke, and back stroke - and kayak for Belle. Learning to climb - stairs, chairs, tables - and run for Will. A plethora of joys, many captured below, that have kept me happily busy outdoors, rather than on the computer tending to our blog.
